Shites: “I don’t get why all these artists need 20 people to help on a song”. New Ringo song : Only 12 backing vocalists? Shouldn't there be a 20 vocalist minimum on any Ringo song?

Attention whore Dr Pepper needs to start a new thread.
Posted yesterday, December 16. Just a tad late for the anniversary:
"Well, it's been 40 years and a week and I still miss John..."

"Where's Let it Be? Why won't they release Let It Be? Why can't they do something with the Let It Be footage?........"
Peter Jackson releases 5 minute clip of newly restored material for upcoming Get Back documentary.....
Honest to Christ, take every film and master tape and burn the fucking things. Cocksuckers are never happy.

Billy Preston has been digitally removed, I assume.

He’s in there.
I fail to see how any Beatles fan couldn’t find this enjoyable. Even I raised a smile at a few points.

Don’t ask me why but I felt like listening to Wings Over America.
The Long and Winding Road is probably the worst song ever. And it’s even worse when they add the “don’t keep me waiting” line.

I got it for Xmas 1976 and hearing it mentioned hits my nostalgia buttons, and I even own the Rockshow DVD. The fact that I also like a lot of music made after that time (by non-Beatle artists) makes it OK. (Also the recognition that Macca hasn't done 5 good songs since that time.)

Uh oh... STeVE hates Wings Over America...! [July 8, 2008]Haven't read this thread. WINGS OVER AMERICA LP has no midrange whatsoever. No treble control is going to help you, just gonna give you a headache. DON'T SHOOT ME sounds dreadful. No treble reducing is going to help you. You need a notch type treble control found on a real EQ to do anything. Simple bass and treble tone controls are useless for these two albums... Then, four years later: [Oct. 21, 2012]Geez, the master tape of WINGS OVER ARMENIA sounds really bad. I hope they can figure out how to give it some midrange magic for once. You boys are in trouble for liking a non-STeVE-approved release!

I got it along with Queen’s News Of The World from my late brother. When you’re 12 and get that much music in one gift, it’s like winning the lottery.

Yeah, I got Live Killers from my grandfather one year, which was mind-blowing to my pre-teen self. Never heard Wings Over America- don’t think I need to now.

About 10 years ago, I was in a used CD shop and saw a copy of the 3-disc Japanese mini-LP of Wings Over America.
Feeling nostalgic, I bought it – but likely played it only once or twice. (No buyer’s remorse though. The cool little details the Japanese manufacturers put into mini-LPs tend to prevent that, AFAIC.)
Never bothered with the archive reissue though. (WOA was the first “super deluxe” I passed on, and after realizing I didn’t miss it, stopped buying all the subsequent ones.)
