Presented without context or reference, it comes off not dissimilar to Dilly's endlessly repeated Ned Flanders-style cute-isms, which spring from the mythical Fountain of Insufferability.

Two celebrity deaths that really got to me were John Lennon and especially Phil Hartman. I always say: it's one thing when somebody does drugs and has an overdose, but it's a lot worse when they're actually deliberately murdered by somebody. And I'd certainly have Robin Williams and Sam Kinison on that short celebrity list. Matthew Perry was not doing that badly: he was worth $120 million at the time of his death, which is far more than I would have guessed. He reportedly saw his assistant early in the day, the assistant left to do an errand, and came back 2 hours later to find Perry dead in the jacuzzi. So he was not in there overnight, as was first reported. Still, an ignominious end to a talented man. Fucking dumbass believes Celebrity Net Worth. Yeah, that was absolutely horrible. There's a great story about how John Lovitz found out that Newsradio co-star Andy Dick had given Phil Hartman's wife Brynn some cocaine a week before the incident happened, which started her downslide back into drugs and alcohol. Lovitz had to be restrained from beating up Andy Dick for causing the incident, but Dick insisted for many years that he had no idea Brynn wasn't supposed to have any more drugs. Very sad story for all concerned. Phil Hartman deserved another 30-40 years of a career... hell, he could've done just fine as only a cartoon voice guy, doing an occasional indie film or something. What a great story!

Yeah, I think that "great" probably wasn't the best choice of adjective there.

A very close friend of mine used to do occasional projects for Michael, and he approached his management and advisors with plans for a "Thriller 25" project in 2007, and then a "Thriller 30" project in 2008 (to be released in 2013). After months of back-and-forth discussions, and some outlines and demos, Michael's official comment was, "I don't want to remind people of how old that album is. And besides, I'd rather concentrate on new albums and not dwell on the past." That changed when he died in 2009, but then his estate and management said, "we don't want to do the show too soon, because then it looks like we're trying to cash in on it." Sadly, my friend died a few years ago and was never able to get the project off the ground. He had previously done a dozen other successful music-related documentaries, but none quite at this level. I'm glad to see at least we lived to see a Thriller 40 special come out. Note they're sitting on days and days of behind-the-scenes footage of just that music video.

I know Vidiot is hated here, but he actually had intelligent posts during the Writers and SAG AFTRA strikes based on his experience in the industry. As opposed to Sand In Ass, who thinks Hollywood has an agenda and any artist who has an opinion about anything is poison.

Counter-argument: He’s a one-step above craft service table assistant food unpacker as a Hollywoo insider, meme-poating, gossip site copy and pasting, lowest common denominator moron who is rightfully called out on his dubious statements all the time by Oatsdead.

Well, if Oatsdead is calling him out, that says something. I just have no patience for the anti union and anti worker sentiment over there. It's disgusting to me.
