I noticed Lukpac said arguably in several threads today. A quick searched with his name and “arguably” shows 13 pages. Arguably here are some highlights:
Also some unique mixes. And the stereo AHDN material is arguably better than on the 2009 AHDN.
Yes. The 2009 is narrowed and arguably doesn’t have the best EQ. The tracks on the first Capitol box aren’t perfect, but are arguably better.
Between some Amazon reviews and an e-mail exchange I just had, I'm convinced a fair number of people care little about what things sound like but need to know that things are "remastered". There seems to be a pervasive myth that the Badfinger albums were never remastered (until now). This despite the fact that the only releases I'm aware of that were *not* remastered in some way were the German CDs, which were just reissues of the Japanese CDs. Some of the other releases were arguably good and others arguably not, but they were all different in various ways.
It doesn't help that the person responsible for the Real Gone CDs was also at least partially responsible for that myth.

How so? His mixes have generally been arguably not very good.
If that was the idea, they arguably failed on the execution.
For the mixes common to both sets, the US Albums box uses better *sources*, but the mastering is something of a mixed bag. In the case of the stereo Something New, the Capitol box version uses a tape nearly as good as the UK AHDN master, but arguably has better mastering.
None of those are great, but most are arguably better than the new release.
I'm curious why you say that. I've seen a few comments online to that effect, but mine arguably sounds pretty nice, and I've seen several comments about how the ECM-50 (same mic, lav profile) is great on acoustic guitar, bass, hi-hat, etc.

The only real issue I've noticed with mine is it's pretty sensitive to handling noise.

Not sure about every album, but at least some are not digitally identical. Arguably functionally identical though.
