Banana is right. It's a dialect thing. Besides which, there was no giddling in the solo. Just the usual, music-by-numbers tedium.

Something must've set them off because NikH's posts about it have all disappeared. Ha ha ha. Thread locked. "Reason: childish bickering, stay out of the thread for a while"

The quote from John is "are we supposed to giddle in the solo?" meaning playing busier to make up for the hole in the sound while the guitar breaks from playing rhythm to soloing. If you listen to the Anthology Let It Be more carefully, you will hear giddle and Paul's straight answer "yeah".

More insidery inside insight pulled from deep inside nikh33's Liverpudlian arse. For anyone asking about future boxes, from 2018: The talk is that it won't be a 'mop up' release; the plan as of September 12th was there will be a BIG final Beatles splash box set in 2023 or 4 of the singles and other uncollected tracks after a box set of the first four albums and then either individual sets for the remaining albums or one further set. Expect Abbey Road and Let it Be (including the movie) over the next 18 months first. That's if the plan is adhered to (no guarantees!) Now don't say nobody told you. Re: US Rubber Soul and Yesterday & Today tracks, Giles hasn't said anything but as one of the plans being looked at is to do a 3 album box of Help! Rubber Soul and Revolver it's unlikely to matter. As I said in September, this is the current plan (but as we all know things are very flexible in and around Apple.) So maybe: Sept 2019 Abbey Road May 2020 Let it Be Summer 2021 First 4 albums Summer 2022 Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver Fall 2023 Final box a la Past Masters Apart from the timing now having slipped back a year this remains the outline plan. I would still expect the final box set including She Loves You, I Want to Hold Your Hand, Hey Jude, Day Tripper, I Feel Fine, Hello Goodbye, the Mystery Tour and Yellow Sub songs, etc etc to appear around December 2023/January 2024 but I'm not technically in charge! (For anyone who thinks "The Beatles wouldn't do mixed boxes, it's always the individual albums", maybe you weren't around when these happened: )

I might’ve asked upthread, but is this guy any more connected than the other ‘insiders’? Or is he just another know it all dickhead pretending to be important so that other elderly men will give him the respect his kids clearly don’t?

I've spoken with a few of the actual "insiders," who don't get recognition because they aren't weirdos trying to be the popular kid in school; they just occasionally drop in with some genuine info and then shut up. They also, at least in private convos, have been very open about their position and how they know what they know, rather than vague hints that imply that they meet at STeVE's couch for lunch with Macca. They never even mentioned dick33.
Btw, did you know that he's from Liverpool?

I don't usually follow this section very much, because there's just so many variables when it comes to the Beatles. UK/US, compliations, EPs and all that other shit.
But these "insiders" and their captain obvious statements and the morons that cling to them...
I would still like to see the reissues start over in 2023. A 60 year old Please Please Me will be reissued with Ringo's bass drum and Paul's harmony vocals on the left and everything else on the right.
They will bitch because it ONLY comes with one of John's crusty socks from that holiday with Brian and a piece of TP George used that fell on the floor. And at $200 a pop, they'll queue up around the block for it.

Didn't you also say that there was no way a white album boxset was happening in 2018? That Sgt Pepper was the only album boxset we would see? Yes, because at that point in time that was the decision. I can't help it if they subsequently changed their minds. Happens all the time with Apple. Since LiB got pushed back a year and a half from May 2020 to Oct 2021, would the remaining possible schedule you listed remain in tact with regard to the time of year each was to be released, meaning are the first 4 albums currently planned to come out in Summer 2022 instead of Summer 2021, or will Apple now stick with 4th quarter pre-Christmas releases, meaning the first 4 would be released in Oct/Nov 2022 instead of Summer 2022? I don't know, I don't think it's that strict a timetable, more of a general plan.

He was caught up repeatedly with blatant lies and bullshit. When he is challenged (which i often did just to piss him off) he usually shut up and pretends that nothing happened. He is just senile nothing.
I don't believe he is any kind of insider. The real insiders don't leak info on public forums to get likes from imbecils. The moment they do it, they are no longer insiders.

Well, after a Gort wrongly deleted my last post on this topic for unknown and likely fatuous reasons (nothing contentious or argumentative and I had 11 likes in an hour), I'm wary of saying anything, but... On June 25th at Glastonbury, Paul McCartney will play his first gig as an octogenarian. Will it be his swansong? How much longer can an 80 year old legitimately carry on doing 3 hour concerts? Gorts, if you delete, let me know why.

“ I've been a fan of The Beatles since seeing their "outrageous" hair in late September 1962, saw them around town in 62/3, waved at them in the street in 1964, in concert in December 1965, individually several times, collected every record, every book (yes, literally), briefly worked with some of them and been in the Liverpool/Beatles scene for 61 years, shared stories and drinks with everyone from Lord Woodbine to Mark Lewisohn, Geoffrey Ellis to Clive Epstein, Pattie Boyd to Chas Newby, Derek Taylor to Astrid Kirchherr, Allan Williams to Norman Smith, Pete Best to Johnny Hamp, Bob Wooler to Jane Asher (no, she didn't) you name 'em. Queued up for Anthology 1, bought hundreds of b00tl3g albums and videos, been on here chatting with you guys for 15 years, and every second of it has been a blast.
Until now.”
