'been in the Liverpool/Beatles scene for 61 years'
Bet that's been a blast for the last 53 years.

'been in the Liverpool/Beatles scene for 61 years' Bet that's been a blast for the last 53 years. When the wife and I went to England and I went to see Abbey Road we were accosted by this lunatic asking us to go to his store. We went and it was full of typical Beatles shit. He pestered us the entire time we were there and argued with me about how it was impossible for me to have owned a Sgt Pepper picture disc back in 1980. This is Nikh in a nutshell. They’re all the same.

Imagine being 70+ (and I mean, he’s very likely approaching 80 from what he says) and still thinking any of that matters.

I'm curious what set him off. Sean's Twitter? No Now and Then?

If you go back to the start of this thread everything he predicted is wrong.

Imagine an "insider" A Liverpudlian stan Nothing else to live for A sad old, lonely man You may say, he's a douchebag But he's not the only one Caca and Spanglish have joined him And Ron Braindead's another one

A real insider speaks:
"I've been a fan of The Beatles since seeing their "outrageous" hair in late September 1962, saw them around town in 62/3, waved at them in the street in 1964, in concert in December 1965, individually several times, collected every record, every book (yes, literally), briefly worked with some of them and been in the Liverpool/Beatles scene for 61 years, shared stories and drinks with everyone from Lord Woodbine to Mark Lewisohn, Geoffrey Ellis to Clive Epstein, Pattie Boyd to Chas Newby, Derek Taylor to Astrid Kirchherr, Allan Williams to Norman Smith, Pete Best to Johnny Hamp, Bob Wooler to Jane Asher (no, she didn't) you name 'em. Queued up for Anthology 1, bought hundreds of b00tl3g albums and videos, been on here chatting with you guys for 15 years, and every second of it has been a blast.
Until now." Last edited: Today at 3:32 AM nikh33, Today at 3:15 AM#8992

If he’s in the UK, it would be early morning, not middle of the night.

I have refrained from commenting until everyone can hear these, but I have been so pleased that Day Tripper's stay "Yeah" is back and bigger than ever! Meanwhile, Giles finally rediscovered all the other instruments in I Want to Hold Your Hand other than George's guitar unlike on "1".

Regarding SHE LOVES YOU, I think an edit piece was mangled by a tape machine after it fell off from lose splices and was replaced with a needle drop (Pride could hurt you..). That's why that little section sounds so off. It was EQ'd totally differently. Just my theory. No, that theory is completely wrong, it was an edit at the initial mixing/mastering session it has always been part of the track.

“ The Beatles set lists changed more than any other act. From their first US concert to their last US concert- 30 months- they played 33 different songs in performances of 12- that's practically three completely different sets in less than 3 years. Name me one other big act that changed their set so often and so completely. And that's not counting another different 18 songs they played elsewhere in the world between 1963 and 1965.”
I could probably name thousands.
The Beatles disdain for playing live couldn’t be more obvious after 1965. They were the definition of going through the motions.
