I'm not even old. I just prefer CDs. No crime in that. Eventually I'll have my own personal library to listen to do and you won't be laughing when the internet goes down and the power gridscrumble. How exactly are you going to listen to Cee Dees when there’s no power? Did you build some Flintstones bird-beak-powered manual player? .....and Rock is gonna roll.......and Rock is gonna roll......and Rock is gonna roll........

I feel like this thread has been hijacked by Def Jam’s street team. “New Public Enemy album in stores this Friday!”

How exactly are you going to listen to Cee Dees when there’s no power? Did you build some Flintstones bird-beak-powered manual player? Batteries and an uninterrupted power supply. So, there's no more electricity. Your battery supply is presumably finite. Not to mention that you're gonna need to power other things. Sounds like you got it all figured out, man. Really sticking it to us idiots.

It feels like a lower resolution version of Soundboy is here.

I'll presumably be foraging at that point so can be done in the garden. I can hook my pedal cycle up to a generator system for most basic needs and to power the CD player when the stash of batteries runs out.

Or you could hook up a cable to your car battery and put the other end on your balls and spare us all the fucking boredom.

Have you done a test run? And I don't mean for a day or two, but for an extended period of time. Because otherwise, should we come to this doomsday scenario, you're gonna be drinking piss and eating dirt by the end of day three.
All this, nevermind the fact that an MP3/music player is far more durable than a discman. Again, the whole "more moving parts" issue.
