Supposed visits by Macca and the "this is your forum" bullshit before dropping the Fund raiser hammer.

What about STeVe’s claim he knows a guy who knows a guy who has a nitrate preview print of The Wizard of Oz with The Jitterbug” number included? And how they had a secret screening but he can’t talk much about it because the guy was in a pissing match with MGM to buy it back? What about STeVe’s claim he owns nitrate prints of films in his house?

What about STeVe’s claim he owns nitrate prints of films in his house? Was this the quote you were referring to?: Mar. 3, 2007 I saw that famous print of THE WIZARD OF OZ in the presence of: Ray Bolger, Mickey Rooney, Fred Astaire, Ann Miller and Gene Kelly at the Academy Theater on Wilshire Blvd back in 1984 or so. I think that was only one of two times that it was ever projected in a theater. That was quite a night; the tears were flowing! What I would love to see is a complete 1939-40 print. I know a guy who has one but he would never project it. He spends his weekend just rolling and unrolling it on an editor to keep it "aired" so it won't die. He has a 1939 GONE WITH THE WIND as well. The colors in those nitrate prints from that era (as you know by the quality of the IB Tech trailers of that time) were a bit old-fashioned looking; more yellows and browns than what we would call "neutral" today. In other words, the Technicolor of 1955 looks positively modern compared to the color style of a 1930's Tech print... Remember the "look" of Disney's SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS before it was "restored"? That had that (correct for 1937) Technicolor look; sort of a brown wash over everything. Quite picturesque. Nothing like the look of the movie now..

The SHites claim that Steve has listened to the Beatles Master Tapes at Abbey Road. I say B.S. to this. What evidence is there that Hoffman has held and listened to them? You know damn well he would have video and photos to prove this if it were true. There is none. I say prove it.
He claims to eaten lunch with many celebs, he once said he ate lunch with Vin Scully. Why would Scully know or give a rats ass about Hoffman? This is complete B.S.story it's laughable.
Another crazy story is when he claimed Paul McCartney came over to his house to listen to some tunes. Again just like the Abbey Road lie, where's the photos of him at his house? You know he would have some if it were true.

Nothing like the look of the movie now.. No, several years ago in a long-gorted thread (way before I know about SC) there was a discussion on lost films/deleted scenes and STeVe shared the story of seeing a preview print of Oz with “The Jitterbug “ scene included, as well as other deleted scenes. That was my first real eye opener about what a lying sack of shit he was. After many questions I remember he said he couldn’t discuss for legal reasons as the owners of MGM have been trying to force the guy to give it back but the guy wanted paid. MGM just left the print at the theater and the guy’s father, who was connected with the theater, took it home and saved it for all those years. Soon after all mentions were gone, complete wiped from the forum. That was my first real thought that not all was right in that place. Maybe that would be a good thread? “What was your experience to turn you again STeVE and/or His Forum?”

The other doozy was the time Hoffman claimed that the dangers of nitrate film were made up, hysterical bullshit. He promptly deleted his post after many took him to task on that. Some "expert," eh? Yeah, “made up”...
Below is a US government (silent) film from 1948 that shows some nitrate vault fire tests.
The first couple have sprinkler systems activated, but jump to the 6:30 point to see what happens when the sprinklers are turned off...

A Google search reveals that there is no such lyric that even remotely resembles what STeVE claims to have heard. Lying, racist piece of shit. Maybe The Beagles were recording next door.

The idea of STeVE...looking? (he certainly isn’t threading tape or loading a digital work station) at a Nat King Cole jacket and singing to himself, “I’m a big man, I’m a big big man...” is more plausible than CNN sending a crew over to a studio to document a Nat King Cole mastering.
My favourite half-baked STeVE-ism is jumping into threads and acting like he has no control over the deleting that Gorfs do so that the MAGAs and Klansmen don’t blame him for their poats disappearing.
