I'm going to post in this thread so I can go on a trip when the GORTS banish it to the cornfield...Have not been anwhere fun in a while.
The Earth has cycles, and will continue to cycle as long as it survives....Our sun will grow and consume the Earth eventually.
The Earth has been inhospitable to human life for most of its existence, with only a brief portion giving rise to our kind of life.
Humans have a short sighted way of looking at things in relative Earth lifecycle perspective because our lifespan is but a fraction of a second in the relative lifetime of the Earth.
Many who expound on a "professional" level concerning this subject have an agenda, rather than a desire to provide useful information.
Many who talk about these subjects are not open to ANY differing opinions, tangible data, or other things that vary from their perspective.
Just a few things to think about concerning the fires, from a positive side.
Fire is one of the great promoters of life. Unfortunately what is currently there is often consumed in order to produce new life.
The smoke produces airborne particulate that almost always results in rain somewhere else because those particulates give rise to water vapor attachment.
The heat of the fire gives opportunity to certain things that require such heat to propogate....Remember, we humans are not the single entity living on Earth.
The rain that falls, and usually snow later in the year, often produces a favorable outcome in the long run.
The remaining fire residue is often very rich in growing nutrients and thus gives rise to new growth after the fire.
The falling rain, and clouds, often lower the overall temps in that region.
Lots going on here that is rarely talked about because it does not fit the agenda of those telling the story....that agenda is often focused on money and power, not safety or health, regardless of how neatly said story is packaged.
Okay, I'll get my chair, sunscreen, snacks and a game so my time in the cornfield will be relaxing and fun.

I would like to see that cornfield set on fire with Corporate Apologist Dan trapped in the middle.
