Title says it all.
Solo artists, all-girl bands, female-fronted bands, etc. Something with a lot of estrogen.
Something similar to/influenced by:
Janis Joplin
Hole
Breeders
Cranberries
PJ Harvey
Runaways
Bikini Kill
Sleater-Kinney
Siouxsie & the Banshees
Sonic Youth
That’s what I’m listening to at the moment and I’m sure I’m missing many female artists.
*Before someone mentions Liz Phair... she’s not my thing.

True dat! Cred from that first snarl!
I'm glad to see so many people took this thread seriously, though. There's nothing like the drinking game you can come up with, when half the posters just put, without even bothering to search, "I can't believe nobody brought up (top 10 artist everybody knows only as a rock performer)".
Thanks to those who refrained from hauling out Susanna Hoffs and Karen Carpenter, just because they're the only female singers some members can think of off the top of their heads. Thanks to those who looked at some non-rock talents, and saw actual rock performances that justify their choices. Okay, there are some real head-scratchers here, such as Judee Sill, Sandy Denny, Susan Werner (The Roches...? JONI???). I love 'em too, but I wouldn't think of them for a thread looking for balls-out rocker ladies, no matter how you want to bend the criteria.
I only did my diligence and dug through the entire thread before I posted Carolyne Mas and Genya Ravan...and glad to see they came up before me, here in 2021. Another one missing from this Hall Of Femme: Liz Phair (no, she didn't get her name from any festival named "Lilith"...)! A bit low-key at times, but definitely the swagger and the 'tude. And it sure ain't pop. I'd love to be that hot tin roof.
(Removed video of Liz Phair’s “Jealousy”)
