She can lip-synch with the best of them, so yes. I got half way through the song. Back in the 1970s and 1980s, many millions used to watch music shows on broadcast TV. Peak viewership for Top of the Pops in the U.K. was 19 million in a country of 50 million. Ms Grande has managed a bit more than double that with a potential audience of 2000 million or so. Compared to the saturation of publicity in the past, she’s minor league. There's absolutely nothing, nothing funnier than a bunch of middle-aged white men absolutely losing their **** because mainstream popular culture no longer panders to their musical taste. You're not the demographic anymore, dude-gramps. The sooner you deal with that, the better it'll be. (Hell, I was only the demographic for about six months in 1983, but you don't see me complaining about it.) The last time I checked we don't list our race in our profiles. You have no clue what race I am or anyone else here. Would you freely exchange another race in your comment? I will bet not so why bother bringing race into it? BTW- Where do you see a bunch of posts here losing their ****? Everyone has been pretty fair here until now.

"Would you freely exchange another race in your comment?"
How about reading the rest of that fucking racist cesspool of a message board where this is pretty much the norm?
I don't know if they post here, but Danby hits the nail on the head - the unifying factor of most of those dudes is that popular culture has bypassed them completely, and they're so utterly butthurt that Zep or fucking Warrant or some shit aren't ruling the airwaves, and somehow it's all the fault of the blacks.

Any time they say "dropped the F bomb", I want every one of them to die of emphysema. Even the innocent ones.

Young, attractive, one hell of a vocalist, brown skinned, has a vagina.
I wonder which of those traits makes the SHites so upset.
(Hint: It's the last two)

Ariana Grande holds the top 3 on the Hot 100 - only time since the BeatlesBefore, an artist would have to sell at least a million physical copies of their single, for it to hit #1. Now, for any song to hit # 1, something close to having the capacity crowd at Yankee Stadium download the track would achieve it. Apples and Oranges Who's Arianda Grande? Honestly never heard of her and wouldn't know one of her songs if it jumped up and bit me on the pecker. She's basically the new Beatles. She's certainly well on her way to smashing every record and achievement that those old, washed up mop tops ever first made newsworthy. I love the sound of auto tunes in the morning. An utterly meaningless comparison. And I'm done. let's see if the songs are remembered 50 years from now, and if the continue to influence generations of musicians As has been said before, apples and oranges. The Beatles had to shift 1000,000 physical records to get to #1, now that can easily be done from the comfort of your own living room so long as you have a laptop and you sell through ITunes. Also, to reach #1 now the quantity of sales is considerably lower, although I think the's a looker, and can hold a tune..... She's nowhere near the same league as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Zeppelin etc. Naive opinion...... 5 albums in 5 years........ The record company are pushing her to record product, getting as much out of her as possible before the bubble bursts.... And it will eventually. It's what they do now..... Record promote, record promote....... Many if not most people here in the UK would still never heard of this woman if it were not for the Manchester Arena bomb. All she is to me is a name on the news, I've never listened to her "music" and I never will unless I seek it out which I won't. So..... I just blacked my nose and watch a bit of the 7 Rings video on You Tube...... I thought it only right to give her a fair crack of the whip...... My first impressions were as follows...... Awful video Awful song Awful use of Auto-Tune You all are so stale and tired with this nonsense. In the UK during the 60's and 70's you had to hit 1,000,00 sales to get to number 1..... during the 80's that was watered down a bit, and now we have what we have Are you sure that's true? What's the source for that? Did "Israelites," "Dizzy," "I'll Never Fall in Love Again," "Two Little Boys" -- all UK #1's in 1969 -- sell a million copies in the UK in '69? To get a gold record in the UK you didn't even need to sell a million copies, never mind get to number one. I had no idea this girl is a recording artist as I only know her from Nickelodeon. meh.i'll take Eleni Mandell,Gemma Ray,Thea Gilmore

It's what they do now..... Record promote, record promote....... Who wants to tell this shithead that Capitol squeezed 13 albums out of the Beatles’ output over a five-year period? Hell, the company released 8 albums (as well as a documentary LP) in 1964 & 1965 alone. (SHites: the more you know them, the more you want to tell them that they’re fucking tools...) Update: daved beat me to the punch...
