I say this every time I read something like this from STYVE. Like that Bewitched stuff from the other day: just how many people happened to be getting an ice cream cone with the flavor called “Tabitha” in 1970 when the little girl who played Tabitha walks in and buys a “Tabitha” ice cream cone? Apparently one: STeVe. Or who happened to be eating lunch with Cary Grant when Elizabeth Montgomery walked into the commissary? One: STeVe. Who found a tape from Patty Hearst and was shown in CBS News playing it? One: STeVe. It goes on and on .... I've only been on this site roughly 3 or 4 months, and between what I read before and what's been posted since, this guy is forever "part of it". Doesn't matter what, doesn't matter who. He's met that person. He heard that tape. He had lunch with him. Had lunch with her. I think this last one was just a ploy to sound relevant in the 21st century every single one of these horseshit fairy tales are nothing other than to boost the narcissistic cocksucker's insatiable craving for attention. Fixed

That would be it, thank you! I just didn’t feel like going out and searching for it.

I was streaming this album at work today, hadn't heard it in years. Whether or not you like ska or Mighty Mighty Bosstones, I had to post it here. If any song could possibly describe STeVE...
Lyrics: There is this older guy that comes around from time to time We're sure that he fought in the war, the war in Vietnam Most of what he tells us, no one's verified He swears that he was there the day that Brendan Behan died He also claims he trained a kid named Cassius Clay And cost Goldwater the election on election day If he was still with us today, then he would introduce Us to his closest friend, the one and only Lenny Bruce The truth is what he's been through And what he's had to do What he's seen, and what he's done All things considered What he's telling us Isn't hurting anyone We knew it's true he's short a few Check out the deck, it's light Said he wrote the entire soundtrack to "A Hard Day's Night" On Peyton Place played second base, he says but he regrets The stadium was Shea, the team the New York Mets The truth is what he's been through And what he's had to do What he's seen, and what he's done All things considered What he's telling us Isn't hurting anyone

Brian didn't have enough room to write "Who the fuck are you again?" “Oh you’re the guy who remastered the version of Pet Sounds that I don’t like.” “Oh you’re the asswipe who used a 4th gen down copy of a safety dupe , originally slated for vinyl AND you eq’d the living shit out of it. My bum ear doesn’t seem to mind, BUT my good ear can’t stand it.

"Uncle Walter" by Ben Folds Five Your Uncle Walter's going on and on Bout everything he's seen and done The voice of 50 years experience Drunk, watching the television You know he's been around the world Last night he flew to Baghdad In his magical armchair Cigarettes and a six pack, he just got back Now the spit's flying everywhere Hey, hey, hey, hey (Your Uncle Walter's going on and on) You're back so late (Where did you go that you were gone so long) how could you leave me here so long With Uncle Walter Your Uncle Walter saw who fired the shots He drove his chair in the cavalcade He's flown from South Africa To countries where They beat themselves on the backs with chains There was a fleet of battleships And 1 reclining chair Headed north on the Arabian sea Now he's back and he'll tell us what He and his oldest boy Blair Are getting rich with their mail order scheme Oh, oh, oh, oh We're glad you're home But how could you leave me here so long With Uncle Walter Your Uncle Walter told me Everything he'd do if he was president Oh what a perfect world This world would be If he were President now And he sees the children Smoking pot He knows that in a moment They'll be shooting up heroin Teardrops in his armchair A 50 minute lecture And tobacco juice rolling down his chin Hey, hey, hey, hey You're back so late How could you leave me here so long With Uncle Walter

Bosstones and BF5, what is this, 1998? I feel like I should be grounded.
Did you know STeVE named Ben Folds Five, even though there's only 3 of them? He just has that vision, bucko.

Also this;
I was there in 1968.
I was there at the first Can show in Cologne.
I'm losing my edge.
I'm losing my edge to the kids whose footsteps I hear when they get on the decks.
I'm losing my edge to the Internet seekers who can tell me every member of every good group from 1962 to 1978.
I'm losing my edge.
(just change it a bit e..g. 'i was there when the Monkees played the Troubadour', and you have it.

Has steeeve remastered Covid19-19 yet? If he did, that would be a good way to stop the epidemic. You’d just need to put Marsha in charge of distributing the virus.

COVID-19 sounds like a particularly horrible Belgian industrial band circa 1990.

Not only that, he happened to be at their recording studio, and convinced them "Brick" should be on their 2nd album, their biggest hit. The band wasn't sure about that song, until STeVE came along.

STeVE's career and what that song is about have something in common. Care to guess?

If that bag collection was able to hold up against a highly toxic parasite like Hoofy, I’m sure they can withstand ANY pandemic...
