They could reinsert all of the material George Harrison insisted be removed. The only problem with that is that it all features Paul McCartney. "Reinsert?" You mean FLY IN.

100% agree. And on streaming you can have more full performances and longer interview clips. It's a totally different medium now compared to broadcast TV and VHS that the original Anthology was edited for...I say keep the series at 8 episodes, just expand each of those by 10 minutes or so. Then add a bonus mini-episode that is like a "making of" basically and goes deep into how the series came about, how they got John's demos, footage of the Threetles recording together with Jeff, all Linda's mid-90s portraits of the Threetles...then outtakes and additional footage of when all three are together for interviews, and more from when they all jammed together, and then that flows into three music videos: Free as a Bird, Real Love and then finally Now and Then to end it. This fucking guy.

A Ringo 50th could really swing the gamut from blah (color vinyl reissue) to ghastly (re-recording the album) to sublime (whole LP of outtakes and alternates, a remix, etc). Whatever it is, I want a new video for I'm The Greatest, with lots of Beatles clips and photos.

A whole LP of outtakes and alternate takes, isn't this what his next three albums were, basically?

50th Anniversary deluxe issue = 50th anniversary deluxe standee.
In anticipation, I'm already making sperm, y'all. And it's gotta come out. And damn soon. It's what we DO. Endless amounts of sperm. It's a wonder the streets don't run with the stuff.

I read about “I’m The Greatest” long before I heard it. It was pumped up as the great Beatles reunion that never was, a lost classic the whole world should be raving about.
It was almost as disappointing as take 1 of “Tomorrow Never Knows.”

You could make a really great EP of #1s by ex-Beatles while still recording for Apple, and it flows well . What about this on 45 rpm 12" vinyl Apple 1. Whatever Gets You Through the Night 2. Photograph 3. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey 4. My Sweet Lord I think for such a comp, you couldn't have 12 Paul #1s or whatever it is and only a few from each of the others. It would have to be something like: "The Top 5 Hits from each solo Beatle!" so it's an even-split sampler of 20 tracks, each artist's five best-performing singles... Paul's would just happen to be all #1s....But that could be a fun comp, mix tape style...Pure McCartney style.... Maybe one day a movie will include a solo song from each of them and that soundtrack will get a physical release. I'm surprised it hasn't happened already, with the likes of Cameron Crowe or Wes Anderson being such big beatles fans.

John told Jack that he (John) never told Paul to keep the line "the movement you need is on your shoulder". ... 4. John told Jack that he fucked Brian Epstein 5. Any newly released studio outtakes will probably only come with the album remix SDEs. Live tracks? Who knows, maybe a unique set of Beatles live material in the future (some overlap with Anthology, but mostly new to official release using AI demixing). But I wouldn't count out "Now and Then" from coming out at some point related to an Anthology series blu-ray/streaming reissue, and that'll be the one bonus track ("carrot") if they reissue Anthology Highlights and/or the full three albums. Just guessing.

At the very least, a re-issue of the Anthology albums could redress the early 80s "Sessions" mixes that were simply copy/pasted into the lineup alongside the songs George Martin oversaw the mixing for more than a decade later. Remix those, and also apply demixing to others that need it. Throw in a finished Now and Then, a remixed FAAB and RL, the b-sides from the FAAB and RL singles, and anything the Threetles and Lynne might have recorded while jamming, if that rumor is true. An outtake each from N&T, FAAB and RL sessions would be wonderful too.

I feel it's very possible that Rubber Soul SDE this Fall, and then next year a Magical Mystery Tour (+YS/1967/early 68 recordings) could be the final "album-based" big box set remix projects we will get, and after that Apple will move onto a Beatles Live project or some other approach to releasing remixes of the earlier material, as well as onto whatever this new Peter Jackson concept is.

Do you like Wings Over America?I think it would have been smart to put the non-Paul songs all on the same side and the 5 Beatles songs all on the same side as well. Why would that be "smart"? Why chop up the show's running order? I didn't realize this was one show? I thought it was pieced together from multiple shows on the tour. Smart as in, as a listening experience of a record (not a show), you could choose the Beatles side for instance, if you're in the mood to hear live Beatles songs. Or if you're not feeling like listening to someone other than Paul McCartney singing, you can easily skip that side. To me, that's smart track listing with the listener/buyer in mind.
