Ditching a favorite band because of a beat on one song and still crying about it 42 years later = LOL

Side note: I was searching for something else here and I came across the posts of this dingaling insisting that Australia was in England or something, and I had lots of laughs.

The  was scornful, stupe. What might really blow the idiot's mind is when he learns that the call center is actually located in India and "Ringo's" real name is Pratyush or Jawalahal. The man is paying his credit card over the phone. I want to believe that "Ringo" is not really from the credit card company at all but is stealing his identity. Except that he found it so worthless that he didn't bother to go through with it.

LOL paying your credit card bill over the phone. Probably pays the water bill in person too.

John was set to tour in 1981... mid-size (1,000 - 5,000 seat venues). I heard this personally, at the time, from the personal assistant to the President of Geffen Records (I was angling to work on that tour in any capacity). Plus, they already had mock-ups of what the stage set-up would look like.

"I'll Get You" is one of my fave early Fabs tracks... has been every since I got the original Capitol Swirl single. that came out on Swan in the US, maybe you had a canadian copy? I stand corrected... certainly not a Canadian pressing, so it must have been Swan. On a black label, correct?

For anyone who thinks Elvin Bishop is crap due to that song, get his Rock My Soul album, an all time favorite of mine. I ended up with two copies... the first was given to my by the ex-wife of Comedian, later-turned-whacko, Dennis Miller. Sadly we didn't go out for long as she was drop-dead gorgeous and funny  ... at least I got this disc

Alf didn't abandon John, he got drafted into the Navy as it was WWII. Supposedly Alf sent John several/many letters but Mimi threw them away, without even telling John about them, because, ahem, she thought they would hurt his feelings ... yeah, right. (1) Mimi never liked Alf (2) Mimi wanted John all to herself Conniving b*tch if you ask me... fvcked John up more than he had to be.

I wasn’t aware of the ALF/Beatles crossover.
