I'm really digging the album, but...I dunno. [shite]to me a lot of it sounds digitally "overed" and very "smeared" and distorted. 'Course my equipment profile isn't filled out, I don't have the ears and it may be what they were going for [/shite]. But I'd definitely go for a remix like for Rush - Vapor Trails.

It's more processed than cheez wiz, but there's an *ahem* Glimmer, of classic Stones to it.

Yeah, yeah, I see that now. So, I'm thinking possibly the aftermath of some exiled undercover dirty work may have triggered a bleeding majesties request for black and blue, maybe emotionally rescued rock'n'roll. Whattaya think?

From what I've heard it's creditable for their age and good enough for someone who needs more Rolling Stones music than was out there before, but nothing I'll need to hear a second time. It kind of reminds me of the final few albums from Motorhead; impressive as it is, it's like busy work that nobody really "needs" [/SHite off]

IMO, Hackney Diamonds is the best Stones LP since Tattoo You. It’s definitely the first one since TY that I can listen to in its entirety without skipping tracks.

I don’t find a single track skippable or embarrassing unlike some of their contemporaries. Andrew Watt deserves a lot of credit.

I was out the other day and they were playing it where I was, it sounded alright.
That is my review.

I finally got my record. It bothers me that a lot of indie stores didn't get the records the day of release, so I didn't get a chance to grab mine until this week. It really sounds great on the big stereo. The more I listen to it like that instead of in the car on Spotify, the more I seem to like it. It's a hundred times better than A Bigger Bang, which isn't saying much but it's a lot better than I expected. I'm even okay with the artwork. Ronnie's botox forehead is something I don't need to see in a gatefold.

I see Martin Popoff's done another review of this album, will this be a grovelling retraction of his heresy?
I don't know, I've not watched it yet.

I was so convinced that the Stones would make it to #1 this week on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in the USA, but yet again this here today, gone tomorrow pop star (Taylor Swift) swooped in and denied them. At least the Stones only fell to #13, Blink-182 went from #1 to #28.
