Jeezus, this retard couldn't find a solution on his own?
No, of course not. So he subjects himself to answers like this one, which undoubtedly will now cause him to lose sleep at night:
Yes, why risk the chance that you will notice something travelling at "almost at the speed of light" arriving too soon at its destination, which is ten feet away? How fucking dangerously do you want to live, mate? You won't hear it, your ugly old spirit won't hear it, but why take a chance?!?
Instead of asking these twerps, he could have rolled up the cable or unceremoniously chopped them in 30 seconds and be done forever. He wouldn't even remember it a few days from now.
I remember my old teenage rig. I had that thing jerryrigged and wired in ways that probably were a major fire hazard. Bare ends of wires tied in knots to splice them and left exposed, substituting an old lamp cord for speaker wire at one point. All I know is I fucking got off on my music every day, the way teenagers do. In retrospect, I guess I risked my spirit, but I came out enriched in the end.

Uhh, now it's back open again with seemingly no posts removed?
And Dreams226 is continuing his barrage of charm:

Jesus Christ...can't these fuckin' guys just set up a goddamn stereo system and speakers and be done with it? Either you know what yer doing or you don't. The system will either sound good or it won't, whether it costs you five hundred bucks or fifty thousand.
It's fucking speaker cables fer chrissakes. We're not talking rocket science here. All these lovers of so-called "high end audio" can kiss my white Irish ass.

That’s why I love my iPhone and iPad. No speaker cables

Cheap cables are the optimum solution for anybody who needs an audio cable less than the length of an Olympic swimming pool. If you need a cable the length of an Olympic swimming pool, impedance is going to kick in anyway whether the cable is expensive or not. Because speaker cable has very little inductance or capacitance, its DC resistance is much the same as its AC impedance across the audible range. If the SHites say anything different, it's just "pride in ownership", being pricks, or placebo effect. BTW, apologies for sounding like a SHite in the above.

I seem to remember a double blind test where high end cable scored about as well as wire coat hangers. I'm also guessing that's why talking about blind testing is verboten at the SHite board. And yet blind test discussions seem to pop up over there all the time and nobody seems to say jack shit about it...my guess is that blind testing is only verboten if it stands a chance of making Steve or one of his shills/lackeys look bad.

Discussing the results of double-blind testing isn’t prohibited there. Debating the validity of double-blind testing is what’s prohibited.

My spirit soars like an eagle seeing this: Shunyata Research Shunyata - DFSS Dark Field Suspension System Accessories Price $300.00
Shunyata has just engineered a new cable-isolation device called DarkField Suspension System (DFSS). The most significant advance is the dual-band cable suspension bridge, which supports any cable while dissipating energy through tensioned polymer bands. The base is filled with an energy-absorbing granular compound that absorbs energy which would otherwise enter the cable, causing signal degradation. This yields improved clarity, depth, and spatial information within any system. Even crappy or mediocre ones.
