And judging by the reactions from the attendees who were at his Hyde Park show with Neil Young a couple of years ago, he is very happy to re-arrange his songs and feel the wrath of a few thousand people who expected to nod along amiably to faithful renditions of Blowin’ In The Wind and some other polite rock songs sung in his twenties voice.

When I saw him in 2016, it was outdoors and he did the setlist j365 poated. Most people were probably expecting a singalong greatest hits show. The week before, Paul Simon had given them just that and that energy was clearly still in the air. Huge difference to seeing Dylan at the Beacon, where the audience is enraptured with whatever Dylan decides he's doing this time around. It really is like a religious experience, or at least a bit like going to catholic church. We sit mostly in silence, except to respond to certain cues, such as shouting "NO" when he sings "you think I'm over the hill." Definitely no singing along, just like in a catholic church.
Just an interesting note that in 2014 he introduced a 15 minute intermission into his sets which remained in 2016. This was gone by the time I saw him in 2017. That 2016 show I saw was rough, because even though I was 15 or so rows back, I might as well have been a million miles away as there was a sea of uninterested and inattentive concert goers in between me and the stage. There was no beautiful mood to get swept up in. I could have been passing by an electronics store, with a Dylan concert playing on the TVs in the window, and felt just as engaged. The cherry on top was the Blowin' In The Wind - Love Sick encore. If those songs had been reversed, it would have been very different. Blowin' In The Wind had previously been and would again after be a show closer. But following it with Love Sick sapped whatever little spark there was left out of the whole thing. I don't regret going though. It only made me appreciate the shows I went on to see after.
I'm so glad that he's coming back around next month. I wasn't sure if I'd get to see him play again.

I’m just impressed that his tour is called the 2021-2024 tour. That’s quite a chunk of time.

/shite on: the remaining Faces are apparently taking a page from the Stones playbook and sprucing up old and unfinished outtakes. At this point, their best bet would probably be to recruit Mick to do the lead vocals. But I'm still cautiously optimistic. There are a few tracks on the 5 Guys set from their unfinished follow up to Ooh La La that could definitely benefit from better vocals (since the vintage ones are likely just scratch takes) and some more guitar tracks from Ronnie Wood. I guess any Stewart Mercury outtakes could be game too. They already feature a few Faces.

I think I recall some pouts from this guy in a Guns N Roses reunion thread implying he was some very connected person to the music industry. Very very connected. I bet he works at a warehouse stocking shelves.

What If John & George Were The Surviving BeatlesOriginal thread idea. My answer is neither would regularly tour or regularly release albums. Maybe David Gilmour type ventures every 5-10 years. I could George as some eccentric gardener type, maybe with a tv angle.

[super_shite] There is no such fucking thing as Faces without Ronnie Lane. Heart and Soul of that band. Full stop. And a gratis word to the wise for some x-tra cash: put your copy of Audio Futility's crappy A Nod is as Good as a Wink...as remasterbated by Daddy on eBay. Sell it, hopefully at a profit. Dan Hersch and Bill Inglot had some great sources for their box You Can Make Me Dance, Sing Or Anything... The treble isn't shaved and the mids aren't boosted. Finest sounding digital Faces evah. They could get Peter Frampton to fill in for the dead ones. He's still alive, right?
And what about Tetsu Yamauchi?

Musical artists (still alive ) who we probably will never see perform againJohn McVie Christine McVie Sly Stone George Clinton Terry Jacks Chad Allen Peter Criss Marky Ramone Alex Van Halen Al Green(after Dec 2021 LA show) David Lee Roth(if January Farewell shows happen) Carole King? Paul Simon? Streisand? Tom Jones? Carly Simon? 2 guys from CCRevisited Sam Moore? Dick Van Dyke Michael Nesmith Skynyrd guys? Some of Zappa's Mothers? Posh Spice Mick and Lindsey might do something if Live Nation get drunk with the checkbook. Mick refused to call the last tour a farewell. He's 80 and has UK farewell dates in 2022. Some 2020 dates got messed up. I guess he's got a bit of ga left in the tank. A friend saw the Seattle farewell show said he did limited heavy lifting.
