I had no idea Sly Stone was still alive, what with his hoovering all that booger sugar.

He also did stuff like PCP which resulted in permanent brain damage, and a few years ago his manager would even encourage his drugs intake as it left him alone to do whatever he wanted with the royalties, while Stone was destitue. Which he still is. Something like 15 years ago, he would sometimes pop up during the concerts of the "Family Stone" band that featured his younger sister (the one who was part of Little Sister) to play and apparently sing (but it was hard to hear anything) during a couple of songs. Apparently, one of his "longest" (we're taking 30 minutes at best if we add up all the time he technically spent on stage) and most involved sets took place in Paris during the European tour, but I hadn't bothered to take a ticket, and it was apparently a train wreck all the way.

The other thing about Vegas is you can skip the hotel, wander the safe part of the strip and get a 6 am flight home.

Jeez. Sly fell completely off my radar after Fresh. Sly & the Stone were absolute monsters live back in the day. I had no idea he had become another awful drug casualty. Sad.

Bored for few minutes I tried the 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon game between Britney and Bob. Her Crossroads movie had Dan Akroyd and he did the Live Aid We Are The World song with Dylan.

There are 3 Beatle insiders with front row access who are still alive who I think have unique experiences/insight that is undocumented. Jane Asher Jimmy Nichol Yoko Ono(I think she stopped doing any interviews and has a health caretaker now) I also think Pete Best/McCartney being in a room together sharing stories with cameras rolling could be very interesting and spark both of their memories. I think it's been nearly 60 years since last face to face.

Documentary, book, signed whatever, you would think Nichol could make very high six figures as a family legacy without leaving his house or even in his lifetime if privacy is an issue. If Freda can get a documentary.....

As if these two ever wanted to be in the same room in the past sixty years. "Hey Pete, you're fired. Oh and our roadie knocked up your mother. Bye!"
Then there's the fact that Pete, whose talents were modest at...ughhh... best managed to bring in some cash trading on the connection to our boys, our rock and roll boys. I would imagine the others felt he was a fly they couldn't swat.

As soon as I see the words Joe Rogen I know he’s an idiot beyond help.

Wonder why these guys (AC/DC) aren't touring yet.
Sound Advice: Australia isn't viable for touring, look at GNR bumping them back to very late 2022. More civil unrest than Covid, is as much as I can say here.
